Chocolate cake with mascarpone
Chocolate cake with mascarpone is an Italian masterpiece that lovers of the rich taste of the dark chocolate will appreciate. Of course, the mascarpone takes away from the bitterness of the chocolate, changes the texture and together with hazelnuts, figs and Physalis enriches the aroma of this wonderful dessert.
Ingredients:
For the marsh:
- 250 g mascarpone
- 200 g dark chocolate (70% cocoa)
- 100 g powdered sugar
- 40 g flour
- 4 eggs
- pinch of salt
- butter to grease the pan
For the decoration:
- 100 g dark chocolate (70% cocoa)
- 50 g butter
- figs
- hazelnuts
- Physalis
Preparation:
For the marsh melt the chocolate in a water bath, let cool. Stir in the mascarpone to make it creamy, then add the chocolate, sugar and the eggs, well stirred with a pinch of salt. Finally, add the flour. Transfer the mixture to a greased form measuring 20 cm and bake at 160°C for about 45 minutes. For decoration, melt the butter with the chocolate in a water bath, stir the mixture, wait for it to thicken and spread on the cake. Garnish with figs, almonds and Physalis.
