Tuscan pizza
The Tuscan pizza recipe comes from one of the most beautiful and picturesque regions of Italy, and why not of whole Europe.In Florence they make this delicious pizza with spicy salami, caramelized onions and fresh mozzarella.
Ingredients:
For the filling:
- 3 onions
- 3 tbsp. Balsamic vinegar
- 1 tea cup mozzarella or Parmesan
- Olive oil
- Oregano
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Tomato sauce
- 200 g sausage
For the dough:
- 1 package dry yeast
- 3¼ tea cup Flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 3 tbsp. Olive oil
- 1/4 tea cup hot water
- 1 tea cup cold water
Preparation:
Cut the onion into thin slices and caramelize it on low heat with some olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Season with oregano, salt and pepper. You also need one cup of mozzarella or Parmesan for your recipe.
Dissolve yeast in warm water and allow to stand for 10 minutes. Mix the flour, salt, sugar, olive oil and a glass of cold water. Add the yeast and knead to reach smooth and elastic dough. Grease with olive oil and let it rest for 30 minutes. Roll out, smeared with olive oil and pour with tomato sauce.
Prepare the pizza as you sprinkle with the caramelized onions, sausage and Parmesan cheese.
Bake in preheated oven at 200 degrees for 15 minutes.
When serving, add fresh basil leaves.
