Torta Della Nonna (Grandma’s Cake)
Ingredients:
For the creme:
- 5 egg yolks
- 2.5 cups of fresh milk
- ¼ corn starch
- ⅓ cup crystal sugar
- Vanilla
For the butter dough:
- 2 tea cups Flour
- ½ tea cup crystal sugar
- 120 g cold butter cut on cubes
- 1 egg
- zest of 1 lemon
- ¼ tsp. baking powder
- pinch of salt
