Santorini

In recent years, Santorini has become one of the most popular Greek islands and one of the most visited destinations in the world. Cyclades attracts a huge number of tourists from all over the world. And those like me who have set foot on the blue island once definitely want to come back here again.

The iconic caldera and the volcano, the spacious phenomenal blue, the black and red beaches, there are many things for which it is worth returning here again, and the red geraniums catch the eye like nowhere else.

The hotels, especially those of the caldera, are reminiscent of ancient cave dwellings, equipped with beautiful pools and offering luxurious SPA procedures. The interior in most cases is simple, completely white with decorative color accents and romantic items. So, this is everything you need for the perfect vacation.

Take a walk in the capital Fira. The numerous winding streets and steps here will take you to fabulous shops, bars, nightclubs and restaurants. Choose a hotel with a view of the caldera in Firostefani, Fira, Imerovigli. Be sure to drink a glass of vinsanto and enjoy one of the most beautiful sunsets in Oia. One of my favorite places is Hotel Galini in Imerovigli. I love to admire the volcano with a portion of apple pie on the table and a glass of ice ouzo in hand

If you have time, visit the Koutsoyannopoulos Wine Museum. The tasting and walk through the museum exhibits will take you to the magical world and the wine tradition of the island.

The best time to visit Santorini is in spring and autumn, when the weather is warm and sunny and there are fewer cruise ships.
