Homemade lemonade
In recent years, increasingly warm summer days quickly replace the winter cold and vice versa So, literally in a few days we replace warming herbal teas and start looking for the cooling effect of our beverages. Interestingly, the products of our homemade lemonade present also in the beverages suitable for winter.
The combination of water, freshly squeezed lemon juice and ginger in this lemonade improves digestion and is a good way to detox, and it gives me a pleasant feeling of summer and carefree.
Ingredients:
- 2 lemons
- 2 limes
- slice of ginger
- a few mint stalks
- a few sprigs of lemon balm
- honey or brown sugar to taste
- ice cubes
- cold spring or carbonated water
To serve:
- slices of lemon and lime
- mint stalks
- ice cubes
Preparation:
Squeeze the citrus with juicer. Crush mint, ginger and lemon balm and pour them into a deep kettle. Swamp them with the squeezed lemon juice. If you use a blender, simply peel the fruit and paste all the ingredients together.
If you want to achieve a slightly bitter and astringent taste, grate a little lemon peel with the finest grater.
Fill the kettle to ¾ with cold water, flavor with honey or brown sugar, stir and add more water if necessary.
If you are fond of carbonated beverages, you can use carbonated water.
To serve lemonade beautifully, use slices of lemon and lime, as well as whole mint and ice cubes.
