Quick apple dessert

With this quick apple dessert we will enrich our collection of recipes with one of the emblematic fruits of autumn, which is a favourite for our family until the first spring strawberries. Choose your best loved variety of apples, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon, add vanilla ice cream. A real feeling of celebration.


  • one pack of ready-made butter dough
  • 2 large apples
  • 4 tbsp. crystal sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 egg yolk


Wash the apples and cut them into thin crescents. Dip them briefly in water with a little lemon and place in a preheated 180ºC oven. The idea is for the apples to soften slightly so that we can roll them more easily in the butter dough and shape the roses.

Cut the butter dough into strips measuring 4 × 15 cm. Spread with egg yolk. Arrange the apples at one end, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Fold the butter dough, roll up and form a rose. Place in a mini muffin tin.

Bake for 40 minutes in a preheated oven at 180°C.

Serve with a ball of vanilla ice cream.
