Homemade Date Candy

Depending on what we have in the fridge, we like to prepare different varieties of this homemade date candy. This recipe, however, is remarkable. The good thing is that it is so easy to do that no mistakes can be made. Just put everything you love in the blender and watch as it turns into a sweet homemade treat.

Ingredients for 16 bonbons:

  • 24 dates
  • ½ cup coconut cream
  • 50g shredded coconut
  • A pinch of salt
  • 2 tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the topping:

  • Tapioca or baobab flour
  • coconut flakes
  • cocoa
  • Carob or ground nuts flour

Preparation:

Chop the dates into two halves and remove the seeds. Put them in the blender together with the melted coconut cream, the shredded coconut, the cocoa, the vanilla and a pinch of salt.

Blend until the mixture reaches the state of a dough, from which you can form bonbons with Rafaelo’s shape and size.

Roll them in the topping of your choice and leave them to chill in the refrigerator. Enjoy!
