Easter cookies
Here’s another dish to add to the Easter holiday table. These holiday spring cookies will give your table a sophisticated look and feel. They are good for a light breakfast, a great addition to a cup of espresso. They are a real joy for children too. Especially if they got involved in making them as it happens at home. Of course, in this case, a considerable part of the dough is „evaporated“ even before it reaches the oven, but the happiness written on the children’s faces is worth it. If you want to make your own Easter cookies garlands like I did, just make them one small hole and thread them with a beautiful ribbon. So you can use them for „delicious“ decoration.
Ingredients:
- 120 g butter
- ½ tea cup Icing sugar
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp Cardamom
- 1/2 tsp. ginger powder
- 2 egg yolks
- 2 tea cups Flour
- 1 packet of baking powder
- sugar for sprinkling
Preparation:
Make a smooth butter dough by mixing the ingredients (without sugar) with the mixer. It’s a good idea to add them in the order they are listed by mixing at slow speed. Roll out the dough between two baking papers so it doesn’t stick.
Bake on baking paper, in preheated oven to 180ºC for 12-13 minutes.
