Colorful bars with buckwheat popcorn and marshmallows – cheerful and delicious feast for the children and their parents
These colorful bars with buckwheat popcorn are a great idea for your child’s feast. The recipe is very easy and will not hinder anyone, and I do not think I have ever met a little superhero or princess who does not like patterned candy or popcorn. And I’m sure that most of you will try them at least in pure curiosity. And lovers of sweets like me, will not miss to eat one together with the morning coffee. And, to make easy for you even more, I’ll give you a hint that popcorn from rice, buckwheat, amaranth and quinoa can be found in the healthy stores, in case you don’t want to cook them yourself.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups buckwheat popcorn
- 2 packages (60 g) marshmallows
- 80 g butter
- 2 packets of M&M’s Candy
- 2 tbsp. Sugar Sticks
How to prepare your colorful bars with buckwheat popcorn:
In a large bowl combine popcorn, sugar sticks, M&M’s candies and half marshmallows cut into pieces. Melt the butter on medium high heat and put the remaining marshmallows to melt. Pour the mix of popcorn and candy. Stir well and distribute the mixture evenly in a rectangular small pot, you can even use a small box, well-covered with kitchen paper. Press the mixture to smooth the surface. When cool and tight, put in the fridge. Cut into squares or rectangles.
