Christmas sugar syrup

Sweeten your life and the lives of your loved ones with an impressive Christmas sugar syrup with the aroma of ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg. There is no sweeter way to tell someone “I love you” than to give him something with a holiday scent. Try it.

Ingredients:

  • 200 g light brown sugar
  • 400 g crystal sugar
  • 4 tsp ginger powder
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon powder
  • 1/4 tsp fresh grated nutmeg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Preparation:

Put the sugar, spices and 600 ml of cold water in a small saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly to melt the sugar. Increase the heat to boil without stirring, cook for 15-20 minutes until thickened into syrup. Leave to cool completely. Pour into sterilized bottles and seal. Make labels with date and expiration date, as well as instructions for storage and use. Store in a cool, dark place for up to 1 month. Once opened, store the fragrant sugar syrup in the refrigerator and use within 2-3 weeks. Shake well before adding it to coffee or hot chocolate, or as a topping for pancakes, waffles or ice cream.
