Christmas pudding or chocolate salami cake – a gift for lovers of sweet temptations

You will be surprised how suitable this Christmas pudding is as a gift. It is easy to prepare, and when you want a sweet end to the evening – chocolate dessert is always a good idea.

Ingredients:

  • 75 g of dried fruit mix
  • 1 tsp cognac (or orange juice)
  • ½ small orange, peel
  • 2 x 100 g dark chocolate (85% cocoa)
  • 125 g unsalted butter
  • 40 g pistachios, coarsely chopped
  • 100 g of coarsely crushed biscuits
  • 1 ½ tsp icing sugar for rolling

Preparation:

Put the dried fruit, cognac (or orange juice) and orange peel in a small bowl. Cover and leave for an hour.

Melt the chocolate and butter in a water bath. Add the pistachios and biscuits inside and stir until mixed well. Add the soaked fruit and mix again.

Leave the mixture aside for 30 minutes to rest.

Form a salami, wrap in stretch foil and leave overnight in the refrigerator.

Before serving or giving as a gift, roll in powdered sugar and wrap in baking paper and tie with a beautiful ribbon.
